  • “A Safe Place” was created in 2021 in response to the halting of progress to build a women’s shelter to care for women fleeing domestic violence.

The concept was inspired by a story that was shared by a representative from Abolish 153.

They told the story of a woman fleeing her abusive spouse, unable to return to her family for fear of being sent back to her husband she was forced to obscure her identity & take to the streets. Concerned members of the public found her sheltering from the rain at a public bus stop. She was taken in by Abolish 153 & their network of volunteers. Abolish itself still lacks the resources & funding to properly resolve this dire issue. In Kuwait there is still no legal frame work or safe place to protect the wellbeing & rights of victims of domestic violence.

  • I provided behind the scenes photography for a TV commercial shoot.
